RuneScape may have a new slogan: It’s better than bangin’.

In a post to the subreddit r/Relationship_Advice, a Redditor named BitchOfTheBlackSea laments that she hasn’t been able to hook up with her boyfriend since they moved in together. In her telling, this is due to the fact that he’s been busy with college. Fair enough.

However, classes are now out for Thanksgiving break. Time for a little sheet shaking, right?

Nope. According to BitchOfTheBlackSea, her boyfriend refuses to butter the biscuit because he’s busy with something else — RuneScape.

“My(26F) bf(24M) won’t have sex with me because of runescape double xp week,” the post’s title reads.

In the body of the post, BitchOfTheBlackSea vents her frustration. “He seems to think getting RuneScape exp is a more valuable use of his time than having sex with girlfriend,” she laments. “We didn’t even go to church today because the pastor was out of town to visit his family like most people, and he wouldn’t use that time he had already put aside because he said he’ll put aside time for God but not for sex.”

Commenters, nerds that they are, defended the man for choosing to grind on RuneScape rather than let his beloved grind on his pole. “Idk as a 28y woman who as been playing RuneScape for years. I understand both sides,” advised one. “Before we demonize this man, what skill is he grinding? If he’s going for a true grind skill and not a skill he can easily afk I completely get it, leave him be and wait until the weekend is over,” offered another.

Of course, some commenters said that there was likely a way to incorporate RuneScape into their bedroom. Others said that if he’s claiming RuneScape is the thing stopping him from gettin’ down, there’s probably more to the story. Still, I choose to believe that there’s a man ignoring his nude girlfriend in favor of upping his RuneScape XP. At the very least, there’s never been a better advertisement for the game.
