The only thing that can stop a car thief?  A quick-witted forklift driver with a whole lot of vengeance.

One worker at Arlington Auto Wrecking in Akron, Ohio finally decided that enough car thefts were enough last month, thwarting a repeat robber from stealing yet another car with the vehicular equivalent of holding something your younger sibling wants high above their head — scooping them up 20 feet in the air with a forklift.

“We’re having a lot of trouble here with people stealing stuff and everything and we got a guy that’s passed out or crashed in one of our vehicles in our yard and I got the vehicle picked up with the loader and he’s probably 20 feet in the air now,” the worker recalled to the Detroit Free Press, noting that the junkyard has faced several problems “with theft and catalytic converters.”

A decision that stemmed from the employee feeling "sick and tired of," these repeat break-ins,  the angry worker held the vehicle — with the would-be thief inside — high in the air while they called 911, waiting only until the authorities arrived to bring them back down to Earth.

Though the suspect quickly fessed up upon hitting the ground, his admission was unnecessary, the officers noting that he already had a warrant out for his arrest.

Moral of the story? There truly is nothing sexier — or more efficient at stopping crime — than an OSHA-certified forklift operator.
