I've always believed that you can tell a LOT about a person's character by seeing how they treat the people who are (supposedly) beneath them. Someone who treats servers, valets, janitors, etc. with the same dignity and respect that they'd treat their boss or family is someone you can generally assume as having good values. That's why stories about celebrity encounters from servers are so fascinating to me - they offer a glimpse of the person behind the mask that you see in interviews and public appearances.
