Protests can be bizarre and frightening places. You never know what wild shit the police are going to pull out to try to stop the thing, as Belgrade residents learned following the government’s alleged use of a sound cannon to cause them to disperse. Then again, you also don’t know what the protesters are going to do; hell, some might even show up with a firework cannon!

In this case, a protester in Turkey was being shot at by rubber bullets when he realized, “Wait a minute — I didn’t get my pump on today!” And so, he got on his hands and started doing push-ups, right in the middle of the chaos.
