What a strange cultural moment this is.

Yesterday, it was revealed that police had apprehended a suspect in the case of the UnitedHealthcare CEO shooting. According to police, they were able to identify him because of a tip from a McDonald’s worker, and when they eventually got to him, he was carrying multiple IDs and had a 3D printed gun.

Of course, my conspiracy mind suspects a little parallel construction is at play here, but that’s the police’s story.

Anyway, prior to this moment, there was a massive manhunt for the shooter. Seeing the resemblance between himself and the wanted man, this dude began to dress like the suspect — much to the chagrin of his mother.
