It was only a matter of time before people started using the drone craze as an opportunity to mess with people.
An idea that’s been lost during much of this drone discussion is how much of it could simply be people messing with each other. Some of this may come in the telling of false stories about sightings; another, much more significant part could be people using things like personal drones to create public scares and generate click-driving, engagement-farming events.
This TikToker appears to be admitting to the latter. Here, he shows what’s really going on behind some of these “drones” — and it’s literally just a balloon.
