During a junior hockey game held in Sioux Falls, S.D, a group of 10 teachers participated in a school fundraising event where the teachers rushed to stuff one-dollar bills in their shirts and pants.
The event which was named, "Dash For Cash" was held to raise money for the local school district, but when a video of the event began making the rounds on social media, many people thought the event portrayed a terrible image.
Typically videos of people stuffing cash in their clothes depict teens having roller rink birthday parties, not adult professionals used as a halftime charity event.
Many people found the video to be a representation of our values, while many people noted that instead of making 10 teachers fight for loose bills, why not just give them each $500 and be done with it.
It's a strange world we live in, a strange world indeed.
