Welp it's official. Plants have been weaponized.

Thanks to artist, David Bowen, there is now a plant that can swing, jab, and turn a machete using its own willpower. The art installation titled, 'Plant Machete' takes advantage of the electrical noises found in living philodendrons. It includes a control system that reads the resistance signals on the plant's leaves.

Those signals are then mapped to the robot holding the machete. So the plant is quite literally controlling the machete's movement. David gives a clearer explanation on his website. He states, "Essentially the plant is the brain of the robot controlling the machete determining how it swings, jabs, slices and interacts in space."
